Web Content

Students at TableIn today's world, Internet proficiency is a requirement to be a successful student and an effective life-long learner. Increasingly, learning requires you to create and share ideas and content and collaborate with others using online tools. As you are probably all too aware, however, the Internet is not always a safe place. While the web is replete with tools and resources that can help you learn and interact with your teachers and fellow learners, it is also home to violent, pornographic, obscene, and profane material. While BYU does its best to filter objectionable content, it is impossible to prevent access to all inappropriate content while still leaving access open to that which is worthwhile and redeeming. That is why you should develop and strengthen your own internal filters to keep you safe when external filters fail or are not present.
